WHAT EVER YOU NEED!

Making a difference in Health and Wellbeing

The Hub’. Whakamana Tangata have established a drop in centre. There is no other safe space in the Kaipara where whānau can stop in with no appointment and feel welcome and relaxed, and help themselves to tea, coffee and biscuits.

We offer peer support health and wellbeing to people in our local communities, most of whom are ‘hard to reach’ experiencing multiple life challenges.

Whakamana Tangata provides education programs, advocacy, Social worker, Rangatahi programs, life skills, peer support, support groups, couples/individual counselling, justice navigators, and other activities for people with mental illness or distress, as well as more general life challenges.

Our service is holistic and kaupapa Māori, and we also, therefore, provide support for their whānau, especially rangatahi, who can be severely impacted by the challenges their parents face. These ‘hard to reach’ whānau are a priority for our service and are often those most in need in our communities.

Supporting positive changes

"Welcome to our supportive community, where whānau come together to navigate life's challenges with resilience and hope. Our support groups offer a safe haven where past experiences shape our path forward, and where the present moment is embraced with understanding and compassion. We believe in the power of connection and the healing journey it brings. Whether you're a rangatahi or a whānau member, you're never alone on this road. Join us to find belonging, strength, and the support you need to thrive."
